The themes of the specialty, of differentiated autonomy and of the relationship with the other Regions are at the center of the celebrations in the Regional Council of the thirtieth anniversary of Sa die de Sa Sardigna , the Sardinian people's festival established in 1993 to commemorate the so-called "Sardinian Vespers". That is, the popular insurrection of 28 April 1794 with which the Piedmontese and the viceroy Balbiano left Cagliari following the refusal of the Turin government to satisfy the requests of the titular island of the Kingdom of Sardinia. "Today - said the president of the Region Christian Solinas in his speech in the Regional Council - the Sardinian society proposes new questions, but the level of comparison is with the national and European institutions and always speaks to us of the need to affirm the rights that put on a par with the rest of Europe: territorial continuity, health, autonomy".

The governor left the chamber immediately after his speech. The President of the Assembly Michele Pais opened the proceedings: «The debate on differentiated regionalism can and must represent an opportunity to relaunch our Autonomy and above all our specialty. We are aware that the tyranny to be defeated today is represented by the backwardness of material and digital infrastructures and by all those factors that impede development, create poverty or prevent the full expression of the cultural potential of which our land is rich. A step forward was taken in 2022 with the approval by the Parliament of the bill for the inclusion of the principle of insularity in the Constitution. A very important step, but only a first step. Now, the Sardinians must demand systematic interventions, included in a strategic plan, so that the principle of insularity transforms "being an island" into an opportunity».

The celebrations continue with speeches by the presidents of the groups. Francesco Agus (Progressives) is critical: «We are witnessing a moment of substantial weakness of the regional institutions, a moment in which it is also difficult to allow meetings of an Assembly which has approved only one law since the beginning of the year. Today one of the statutory bodies is not in a condition to work.'
