On Saturday at 8pm the premises of S'ALA - Space for artists of Sassari , in via Asproni, will host an awards ceremony, show and a party. It is the original formula for the S'Empatia international performing arts award , conceived, curated and organized by the S'ALA cultural association. Inaugurated in 2023 and named in memory of the Sassari entrepreneur Carlo Solinas , former president of the Teatro Verdi, tireless and generous promoter of the arts and artists, the award criteria are based on the values of artistic quality and human quality, empathy highlighted in the title.

Not just technical ability, therefore, but the ability to communicate with others, to create communities, to network . These are the qualities that also distinguish those who will receive the 1,500 euro prize this year. The name of the person or project will be revealed only on Saturday, during a special evening, a real party to celebrate creativity and friendship, which will open at 8pm with an aperitif and will close, after the awards ceremony, with a DJ set by DJ, producer and live performer Noi/Amedeo Inglese. The event is open to all and participants are invited to express themselves through an original “Sindria/Watermelon/Watermelon” themed dress code.

The winner of the first edition, the Catalan artist, performer and producer Iara Solano , founder in 2006 of the experimental theater company for non-traditional spaces Sleepwalk Collective, will also be present at the awards ceremony. Iara Solano will bring to Sassari from this Thursday until Saturday one of her most original, engaging and "immersive" productions, in the true sense of the word. This is "Bauthism", a show that requires the presence of a single spectator at a time, invited to bring their own swimsuit and take a seat and relax in a tub full of hot water.
