Bitter Arab Super Cup for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Al-Nassr was eliminated in the semifinals by Al-Ittihad, coached by another Portuguese, former Tottenham Nuno Espirito Santo: the final result was 3-1 at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh (65,000 spectators) with the goals from Romarinho, Hamdallah and Shanqeeti.
Cristiano Ronaldo, on the pitch for 90 minutes, failed to make an impact, protagonist of a dull and opaque performance. Another game in the shade for the Portuguese who hadn't expressed his qualities already on his official debut with Al-Nassr, against Al-Ettifaq.
Ronaldo must therefore postpone the appointment with the 35th trophy of his career. The contenders for the Arab Super Cup will be Al-Ittahd and Al Feiha who, surprisingly, eliminated Al-Hilal 1-0. CR7's Al-Nassr will return to the field on February 3, in the away game against Al-Fateh.
