The Volonté School and the Rome Film Festival remember Gian Maria Volonté, thirty years after his death , with the screening of “La mort de Mario Ricci” .

Claude Goretta's film , which earned the great Italian actor the Award for Best Actor at the 1983 Cannes Film Festival, will be screened on Thursday at 4.30 pm at the Casa del Cinema in Villa Borghese , as part of the official programme of the Festival.

The film will be introduced by Antonio Medici , general coordinator of the Volonté School, the actress Angelica Ippolito, the actor's last companion, and Felice Laudadio, who also had a personal relationship with Volonté.

The Volonté School has thus accepted the proposal to re-present the film, one of Volonté's least known in Italy, put forward by the actor's daughter Giovanna Gravina Volonté, creator and artistic director of the festival "La Valigia dell'Attore", which has been held every summer on the island of La Maddalena since 2003.
