From October 4th to 26th, Sardinia becomes a great journey of discovery with the Romanesque Days. This initiative is part of the second edition of Italia Romanica, a festival created by the Fondazione Sardegna Isola del Romanico to promote awareness of Romanesque architecture in Sardinia and the rest of Italy. On October 11th and 12th, the event will stop in Porto Torres at the majestic Basilica of San Gavino. On Saturday, October 11th, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, visitors will be welcomed by the Turris Bisleonis cooperative, who will offer a free guided tour of the monument from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. On Sunday, October 12th, at 8:00 PM, the Basilica of San Gavino will be illuminated by the magic of candles for a unique concert, "La Luce del Romanico" (The Light of Romanesque). An intimate and evocative atmosphere will envelop those present, where music and light will enhance its timeless beauty. Across the province, 70 municipalities and 75 churches will be involved, opening their doors to visitors and communities with guided tours, candlelit concerts, workshops, tastings, and cultural events.
