Andrea Vavassori and Sara Errani win the mixed doubles title at Roland Garros .
The Italian pair beat Americans Taylor Townsend and Evan King with a score of 6-4, 6-2 and thus won their second Slam title, after the 2024 US Open.
Difficult start for the Italians, who however manage to hold their service games with difficulty and find the break in the seventh game, breaking Townsend's service and holding until 6-4. In the second set everything is easier for the Azzurri, who immediately go ahead 2-0 and easily close 6-2.
And it's just the beginning of a final phase of the Parisian Slam that promises sparks for our colors.
Tomorrow, Friday the 6th, is the big day of the men's semi-finals, with two Italians involved: at 2.30pm Musetti challenges Alcaraz, at 7pm it's Sinner's turn against Djokovic .
Also tomorrow, the women's doubles semi-final is scheduled, with Sara Errani who, together with Jasmine Paolini, will try to snatch the pass to another final , yet another in the career of the "master" of doubles who, at 38 years old, continues to amaze.
