Three finals and one semi-final, no victories. The expedition of the Azzurri at Roland Garros, however extraordinary for the results obtained, leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

After the defeats of Paolini in the women's singles and Bolelli-Vavassori in the men's doubles, the women's doubles also had to surrender in the final.

Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani were defeated by the pair formed by the American Coco Gauff and the Czech Katerina Siniakova, who won with a score of 7-6, 6-3 in just under two hours of play.

The results of the Italians bode well for the Olympics, which this year will be played on the red clay of Paris.
