For the only stop on the island of his "Tra il silenzio e il tuono" tour, Roberto Vecchioni has chosen Cagliari. The singer-songwriter, born in 1943, one of Italy's most beloved, will perform in the Sardinian capital on August 29th (9 pm), at the "MusiCA Arena" in Cagliari.

On the date, which will take place in the events area of the Fiera spaces on Viale Diaz Vecchioni, he will be accompanied by the historic band consisting of Lucio Fabbri (piano and violin), Massimo Germini (acoustic guitar), Antonio Petruzzelli (bass), and Roberto Gualdi (drums). The setlist will feature well-known songs and new creations, for a show—produced by DM Produzioni—inspired by the book of the same name published last year, in which "the professor" intertwines literature, philosophy, cinema, and, of course, those "music classics" that have thrilled and continue to thrill entire generations, and with which he is visiting Italy's most evocative locations.

"The tour," explains Vecchioni, "is a great spectacle of songs, images, and monologues. The silence belongs to the imagination, to the soul, while the thunder belongs to what I have done and what has been done to me: that is, to life, which pulsates strongly. The only way to quiet it is to turn to the spirit."

The first part of the show revolves around the latest album ("L'infinito"), where the songs' protagonists become the thread through which the author reflects on how imagination and spirit can curb the contradictions of everyday life. The second part, however, is a kind of return, a look back at the past with the songs from before, which demonstrate how the concept of infinity was arrived at.

An emotional journey through poetry and reflections on existence in which the most recent repertoire, told through videos, monologues and songs, gives way to those timeless hits – from “Samarcanda” to “Sogna, ragazzo, sogna”, from “Chiamami ancora amore” to “El Bandolero Stanco” and “Luci a San Siro” – on which the Milanese artist, singer-songwriter, lyricist and writer, but also teacher, has built an extraordinary artistic career that has continued, with unchanged enthusiasm, for over fifty years.
