Roberto Nieddu encores and wins the second Nivola Poetry Slam held in Orani. Of the 12 competitors from across the island, the Burgos poet is the one who most impressed with his challenging, poignant, and exhilarating octaves.
Ovoddo poet Enzo Liborio Vacca, who finished second, finished ahead of Luca Sedda of Gavoi. Since the top three finishers had already qualified for the regional finals of the Sardinian Poetry Slam championship, a poet who is competing in a slam for the first time will advance to the finals: fourth-place Sandra Paddeu, a poet from Orani.
Competing with them are the other poets and performers: Anna Cidu and Tiziana Mura from Gavoi, Isa Gramai from Bolotana, Terri Melon from Cagliari, Ida Pranteddu from Aritzo, Antonello Satta from Ozieri, Marco Siotto from Nuoro, Tyfya from Sassari.
The slam took place in the splendid granite courtyard of the Nivola Museum on a cloudy morning, but lit up by an enthusiastic crowd that chose the winners as per the rules.
The event, accompanying the poets in their performance, was enlivened by Master of Ceremonies and presenter Valentina Loche, the multiplatform competition notary Giovanni Salis, special guest Tatana Devaddis, a poet-actress from Cannasas Teatro, and the music, rhythm, and noise of drummer Alberto Ferreri.
