He started out in 1969 at Fiaam , a company in Mantua that produced car components. Then the race towards an extraordinary career that made him one of the protagonists of the Italian economy of the last 50 years .
After his first entrepreneurial experiences he actually landed as Olivetti , Telecom , Piaggio . He has been president of the latter since 2003. The company, under his leadership, has been relaunched to the highest levels over the past 20 years.
