The restoration work from Cyclone Harry, which began Wednesday on the coastal stretch of the 195 between Cagliari and Capoterra, was not enough and risks disrupting traffic on the seaside and commuter road.

Starting Monday, Anas will also open another construction site on the Sulcitana highway, but on the four-lane section, which should be completed within a week. This involves "work to complete the drainage pavement" that "will involve the carriageway towards Cagliari in the section of lot 1 already open to traffic, for a total of 5 kilometers," according to the announcement. "Traffic towards the capital will be able to use the old route of State Road 195 until the work is completed, expected by June 15th."

In short, inconvenience upon inconvenience, while controversy continues over the approval in the middle of summer for safety work on the stretch damaged by January's storm surges, preliminary work for which began yesterday.

The traffic changes will come into force on Wednesday, June 10.
