“Rethinking the city”, a weekend full of events in Quartu

Weekends and months with many initiatives in Quartu Sant'Elena as part of the review “ Rethinking the city. The contribution of associations ".

Until Saturday, from the center to the coast, citizens will have a wide choice to treat themselves to an evening of culture, including exhibitions, concerts, book presentations and theatrical performances.

The program of “ Let's discover Quartu - Storytellers and content creator for the community ”, an initiative of the Genti Arrubia cultural association, also continues.

In the auditorium of the Basilica of Sant'Elena Imperatrice events already in the morning, from 9.30 to 13: opening the screening of the short film by director Marco Spanu entitled "With the capital S Language, culture and identity Deaf"; followed by the presentation of the book by Maria Grazia Zedda "The rustling of the eucalyptus", a novel inspired by the experience of the same author, with the departure from Sardinia while still a teenager and the move to London. The morning program will then be repeated also in the evening, from 6 to 8 pm, in the same location.

At 6.30 pm, in the Ex Convento dei Cappuccini, the Dorian Festival returns - Third edition. The Dorian Cultural Association proposes the presentation of the book " Shadow Mother ", by Matteo Porru, finalist at the Campiello Giovani Prize.

Also in the center, in Casa Olla, at 7 pm Cada Die Teatro, in collaboration with the Rossoblù Museum in Quartu, proposes the show “ Riva Luigi '69 -'70 - Cagliari at the days of the Scudetto ”, by and with Alessandro Loy. It is a reminder of the city of those years: how we dressed, how we hung on the tram so as not to pay, how we played with the stickers on the steps of elementary schools. But also the story of that shy and shy champion who, when interviewed, preferred to look the other way.

Moving along the coast, in the oratory of the church of San Luca, at Margine Rosso (7.45 pm), as part of the project "Sounds and voices for the Island", the concert for choir and soloists organized by the Cultural Music Association Ennio Porrino "Tales in music ” , held by the“ Clara Voce ”Youth Choir of Quartu S. Elena, directed by Maestro Federico Liguori. Also on Friday 28, at the Flumini Service Center, the review "Live the summer in Flumini", organized by the Sardinia Rossoblù Association, continues. From 7.30 pm to 9 pm the appointment entitled “ Wine and music ” is scheduled, which includes the presentation of a series of wines, in the presence of a sommelier and with the musical accompaniment of an instrument.

Then, on Saturday 29th, the theatrical review “Aici, many po…”, proposed by the Sacred Heart Amateur Theater Association, returns. In the parish theater of Sacro Cuore the theatrical association Centu Concas Centu Berritas of Nuragus presents the show “Prima chi s'intzrupit s'arregodu”, a comedy in one act.

The photographic exhibition curated by the students of the Primo Levi Institute on nature and territory will also remain open until Saturday 29: it can be visited from 9 to 19 in the historic Campidanese house of Sa Dom'e Farra.
