A street festival of music, sport and socialising, which from Campidano now arrives in the metropolis: the spotlights of the Cueva HRock in Quartucciu will turn on from 10pm on Saturday for the winter edition of StreetFest , a youth festival born in Guspini in 2022. And which, in preparation for the annual summer event, breaks the wait with a " punk fest " that announces on stage the Sardinian bands Inarrestabili , Atomikah , Roman Krays , Hurricanes and the Vicenza group Respiro Nocivo , special guests of an evening organised by the agencies Rockerstage and Sorry Mom!.
The guest band
Formed in Vicenza in 2009, Respiro Nocivo released their first demo five years later, full of that punk grit and ska and hardcore influences that have accompanied them to this day. The work was immediately appreciated by the local scene, so much so that it pushed them to release their studio debut " Sbronzi Rozzi & Zozzi " (2016), building on the previous album with an album celebrated by fans and critics alike : and thanks to the fame they acquired, they toured northern Italy, conquering every evening thanks to their energetic performances and raw, straightforward attitude .
The following years saw changes in the band's lineup and sound, a maturation that is also demonstrated in the extended play " Sepolti nel Buio " (2019) and which continued despite the temporary difficulties of the pandemic era. In fact, in 2022, their second album " Cor Meum Anima Mea " was released on the Italian label Duff Records , in which the Latin and 90s inspirations were expanded: an effort that continues to enjoy a long life, thanks also to the remix of the track " Internazionale della razionalità ", released in 2025 and featuring Fry Moneti of the Modena City Ramblers.
The island groups
Directly from the hometown of the festival itself come the Roman Krays , a quintet formed in 2019 and moving between alternative and punk, with an aggressive yet melodic sound as demonstrated by their debut " Quanto Costa Sognare " (2024). From Calangianus instead come the Sardinian punk veterans Inarrestabili , formed in 2005 and soon arrived in the Italian and Iberian peninsulas with frenetic tours, without however neglecting time in the studio: after six albums released in the previous years – in Italian, Spanish and even Basque – the band's latest effort is the album " Sette " (2024).
The Hurricanes quartet, formed in 2021 by members of esteemed local bands like Riflesso and The Colvins, hails from the capital city . They are part of a nostalgic punk revival, evident in their 2023 album " Ghostwriting ." Also hailing from Cagliari are Atomikah , born just last year but already with very clear musical ideas, with a sonic potpourri of garage, ska, dirty rockabilly, and even swing echoes, still awaiting release.
