The pollution issue is now emerging in the renewables space. If all the offshore plants and those for electricity transmission to the mainland were to be built—including offshore wind farms, the Tyrrhenian Link, and the modification of the Sacoi 3 pipeline—at least fifty transformer substations would be built on the beaches of Sardinia.

Not just Terra Mala, but also Santa Teresa and Pittulongu, to name other prestigious locations . It would mean, in one fell swoop, a blow to tourism but also a depreciation of land values. Those who will enrich themselves, without leaving a single euro on the island, will be the multinationals and large business groups who are investing in the island's ecological transition.

A transition that risks ruining the landscape, environment, and nature, and forever erasing postcard-perfect vistas and places of great archaeological interest. Now even the beaches, a showcase for an island that otherwise would have little else to offer.
