Figures that seem to breathe, landscapes suspended between dream and reality, faces that speak of silence. René Rijnink's art arrives in Sardinia with a multi-venue exhibition project spanning four locations in Cagliari, Villasimius, and Pula, transforming iconic corners of the region into spaces for visual reflection.
The exhibitions, curated by Mirco Renzetti, offer an immersive artistic journey through iconic locations in the south of the island. At the center is the Dutch artist's paintings, which combine expressionism, chromatic delicacy, and emotional depth.
The latest exhibition, running until September 14 at Palazzo Tirso in Cagliari, revolves around the triptych The Pain of Memories, a central and touching work dedicated to memory and trauma.
The other three venues —the Cruccùris Resort and the Hotel Stella Maris in Villasimius, and the Nora Club Hotel in Pula—will host, until October 31st, other emblematic works such as the surreal and ironic April Fools' Day, the intimate and melancholic Blue-Haired Girl, and The Lovers of Philosophy, a visual dialogue between thought and feeling.
Each stop is free and designed as a standalone yet connected experience, allowing visitors to explore Rijnink's language in different contexts, creating a vibrant connection between contemporary art and the Sardinian landscape.
