«We are not just presenting a list, but the start of a path for a new Sardinian party: a party with head, heart, reasoning, ambitions and horizons in Sardinia» . Renato Soru claims that he is not only looking at the goal of February 25th, the date of the next regional elections. First in Sassari and then in Cagliari he presented the Progetto Sardegna candidates for the two electoral constituencies.

«We think that there is no need for another movement or another list to elect someone, but for a different story than the one the Italian parties are proposing to us. Who are now closed in on themselves", observes Soru, "and fossilized around ruling groups that seek to perpetuate their personal destinies. Instead, we think that democratic participation can be broadened to make the most of the skills, ideas and enthusiasm of every citizen. In Val d'Aosta, in Trentino, in Catalonia or in the Basque Country, the regional parties have given a strong push for development and we want it to happen like this here too, so that Sardinia becomes a region that can compete on an equal footing with the more advances of Europe".

The first objective, continues the former Sardinian governor and former member of the Democratic Party, "is the next regional elections. But we can say that we have already won because we have imposed the political agenda. We imposed the themes and sometimes they copy them from us because it's easy with streaming. However, I don't believe that the same words have the same conviction and the same ability to be put into a collective idea and vision of Sardinia. What the other candidates in the field are proposing are confusing projects, we don't know that of the right, in Rome they decided a few days ago that the candidate is Truzzu. But we are seeing what Giorgia Meloni's government is doing. He wants to bring expertise on special economic zones and national parks to Rome, he is carrying out a differentiated autonomy project that will make us a negative special region, he is thinking of bringing nuclear waste to the Sardinian military bases." On the other hand «the Democratic Party suffers in silence the primacy of the 5 Stars. In Sardinia they have been able to do nothing. You can ask for it in Porto Torres or Carbonia. Or in Assemini, where Campo Largo lost against a civic experience."
