The countdown is almost over in view of the vote for the election of the new governor and the new regional council of Sardinia, scheduled for next Sunday 25 February.

With Saturday traditionally reserved for "silence", for the four candidates for the president's seat - Paolo Truzzu, Alessandra Todde, Renato Soru and Lucia Chessa - today will be the last day of the electoral campaign.

TRUZZU – Truzzu, candidate of the centre-right will be in Sarrabus , starting from 5pm, visiting the municipalities of San Vito, Muravera, Castiadas and Villasimius , where he will meet the mayors. The last stage of a campaign which saw him reach over 120 centres, and an opportunity, he himself explained, to present the Sardinia Plan , that is «a pact of commitment for the strategic development of the territory» which «is not based on requests for additional financing but on the efficient use of 10 billion euros , which we have available to promote collective well-being and increasingly enhance our island."

TODDE – Alessandra Todde will close her campaign in Cagliari (at 6pm at the Cagliari Fair, in the Pasolini Hall): «We are the only real change possible , we are the exact opposite of the centre-right. Now more than ever it is necessary to focus on competence, ability and honesty, for the good of Sardinia and the Sardinians", wrote the Campo Largo candidate on her social channels.

SORU – Renato Soru , candidate of the Sardinian Coalition , is also expected in the capital for the fifth and final closing stage of his electoral tour of the island: appointment at 6pm, at the Teatro Massimo in via De Magistris. "February 25th is near, let's spend these last days house by house, street by street, office by office, campaign by campaign," Soru explained on Facebook. Adding: «There are 50% of Sardinians who have not yet grasped that there is a new possibility , we tell them that this is an important moment, which can really change our lives and we cannot stay out of it».

CHESSALucia Chessa , candidate of Sardigna R-Esiste , will close the campaign in Nuoro , at 6.30 pm, at the Satta Library. «I take this opportunity to remind you – the candidate wrote on social media in the post to announce her latest commitments – that even in the constituencies of Sassari and Ogliastra , where we don't have lists, you can vote for the president , which would be me. In Ogliastra and Sassari – explained Chessa – you will not find the symbol on the card but only my name . We need to cross ourselves."

THE COMPARISONFurthermore, the last televised confrontation between all four candidates is scheduled for tonight: the appointment is at 9pm on Videolina and on the UnioneSarda.it website. Conducted by Director Emanuele Dessì.
