Regional government approves mini-budget in Commission: decision on aid for businesses to address fuel costs
Over €30 million is on the table to support Sardinia's production system. The beneficiary sectors and the modalities of the intervention are yet to be determined.Today is perhaps the decisive day for the Regional Council to finalize the extraordinary measures to address fuel costs. This is the central topic of the Budget Committee's meeting, which resumes its examination of the €750 million variation.
To support businesses, over €30 million is available, with the allocation already effectively defined. It remains to be decided which sectors will benefit from the aid and how the intervention will be implemented: either through an amendment to the Variation or through a specific bill.
The Commission will attempt to reach a consensus, but the climate will become more heated as time goes on. The budget proposal will not be presented to the House before early July. This is enough to fuel renewed criticism from the opposition.
