Planning for the upcoming regional basketball season has resumed. At GSO Elmas, Giancarlo Bogo will be the new coach of the team that will compete in the Regional Division 1 basketball championship in the 2025/2026 season.

Bogo will also be responsible for coordinating the work of the coaches of the men's youth teams.

"Giancarlo immediately got to work with the management," the club said in a statement, "to identify and select the players who will be part of the first team roster."

The new 34-year-old coach from Masano boasts experience in what was once Serie D, with the shirts of Azzurra Oristano (the club where he grew up), Esperia and Marrubiu.

As a coach he led Azzurra Oristano, the youth sector, Promotion and Serie D, Esperia, Spirito Sportivo and Antonianum Quartu (in Serie C).

Finally, in the season just ended, he served as assistant coach at San Salvatore Selargius in Serie D.
