The counting of the 19 sections that had not completed the counting of the ballots for the regional elections on February 25th in Sardinia has concluded .

According to unofficial data (the official ones have not yet been published on the regional portal) the gap between Alessandra Todde and Paolo Truzzu has narrowed, but not as the center-right hoped: the gap between the two candidates would be around 1,600 votes .

A gap too wide to hope for a turnaround, they underline from the wide field . Yesterday Todde herself on Rai3 said she was "serene" speaking of a gap "between 1,450 and 1,600 votes". In the centre-right they are waiting for the official announcement to evaluate any appeals to the TAR .

Having completed the counting of the missing sections, seven days after the counting, the courts are now verifying the reports received from the polling stations, checking the regularity of the documents produced and the operations carried out.

Then the packages will converge in Cagliari, where the central electoral office at the Court of Appeal will draw up the final report and proclaim the 58 councillors, plus the president and the second-placed candidate. Proclamation which, as far as we know, will not take place for a week .
