The richest, according to his tax return, is Giuseppino Canu of Sinistra Futura, a general practitioner, with a taxable income of €214,716.00. Meanwhile, Sardinia's sixty regional councilors combined declared nearly €5 million (€4,840,600) to the tax authorities in 2025 (2024 income). This figure emerges from the sum of their individual incomes, published for administrative transparency purposes in the Buras (Italian Public Accounting Office) at the end of January and on the Sardinian Assembly website.

In the rankings, Canu is followed at a distance by Lorenzo Cozzolino (Orizzonte Comune), with an income of €153,239. In third place is Antonio Spano (Democratic Party councilor who recently resigned and was replaced by Antonio Sau ), with €138,962. He also reported several changes in his real estate assets in Sassari.

Among the other councilors who exceed the threshold of 100 thousand euros per year are Gianluigi Rubiu (Fdi) (127,191), the president of the Region Alessandra Todde (107,666), Stefano Tunis (Sardegna al centro 20 Venti) with 107,314.00 euros, his party colleague and mayor of Sanluri Alberto Urpi with 106,665.00 and then Giuseppe Talanas (Fi) with 105 thousand and Antonio Solinas (Pd) with 103,864.

Following, under 100 thousand euros, are the group leader of Fdi Paolo Truzzu (96,777) and the councillor and assessor for Labour M5s, Desirè Manca with 96,139 declared.

At the other end of the scale, the lowest total incomes declared for 2024 are those of Emanuele Matta (M5S) with 51,389 euros, Ivan Piras (FI) with 55,370, Gianluca Mandas (M5S) with 55,607, Francesco Agus (now Agriculture Councillor, Progressisti) with 58,421, Luca Pizzuto (Sinistra Futura) with 58,522 and Cristina Usai (Fdi) with 58,550 euros.

Assembly President Piero Comandini , a Democrat, declared an income of €85,941. Many councilors updated their real estate and vehicle information during the year.
