The president Marcello Cardona and the entire board of directors of Reggina Calcio 1914 have resigned from their respective positions. The owner of the company, the businessman from Lamezia Felice Saladino, gave the news with an official note on the amaranth company website.

«The emergency phase for the club has come to an end - adds Saladino - which began with the acquisition last year, the sporting consolidation and the settlement of the debt. Today Reggina is a club made up of men and women of great value, supported by its extraordinary fans, which has rigorously respected the path indicated by the three-year plan that I announced a year ago. In this process, it is foreseen that, once this first phase is completed, the club will have to give itself a new structure to achieve the ambitious goals. I am proud to have participated in the salvation of the team, to secure the Club and to have started its ambitious project, I did it with the heart and commitment of those who love their land. For this reason, I have made myself available to start talks with anyone who shows interest in the Company, with the aim of continuing the successful path we have begun and making our territories and our beloved Reggina grow further".

And again: «In this context, the president and the board of directors of Reggina 1914 - the owner of the amaranth company underlines again - have resigned in order to leave the freedom of those who will participate in the project to define the administrative and management bodies . The whole Board managed this phase with rigor and a great sense of responsibility, knowing how to overcome even the most complicated moments of this year. A special thanks to the president Marcello Cardona who, with his guidance, has brought the club to today's results. In the wake of the transparency that has always characterized the new course of Reggina, it will be my care to give timely information on the evolution of the talks for the sale of the club».
