For the dignity of work and the freedom of all and against abstentionism "to change foolish laws made by both right-wing and left-wing governments". These are the reasons for the yes to the five questions of the referendum on work and citizenship expressed by the national secretary of the CGIL, Maurizio Landini, in the square this morning in Olbia, among the stages of the referendum campaign to bring voters to the polls on 8 and 9 June.

Landini calls for social mobilization and political participation to initiate a change that reaffirms people's freedom and a social model opposed to the logic of profit and the market which, he said, "in the last twenty-five years has not resolved problems and has determined living conditions that are no longer bearable."

Against the invitation to boycott the polls that is spreading among the government forces, the secretary of the CGIL says: «It is a dangerous political error with the attempt to use the population's discontent to suggest that nothing will change anyway». And, instead, adds Maurizio Landini, «it is time to take part and the referendum allows you to decide directly without delegating anyone: you do not vote for someone but for something, for yourself, to improve your rights, those of your children and those who work».

During his stop in Olbia to say enough to precariousness, deaths at work and unfair dismissals, Landini met with some categories of workers and the mayor, Settimo Nizzi.
