The Sardinian referees in the Can, the National Referees Commission that appoints the whistles in Serie A and B, are down from two to one. For "motivated technical evaluations", the Aia has announced the dismissal of Antonio Giua of the Olbia section, who was on the staff in the top category since the 2019-2020 season. The only island referee for the 2025-2026 season remains Giuseppe Collu, of the Cagliari section.

With Giua, Francesco Cosso (Reggio Calabria section), Marco Monaldi (Macerata), Alessandro Prontera (Bologna), Daniele Rutella (Enna) and Gabriele Scatena (Avellino) have been dismissed for the same reason. Due to limitations on their tenure in the role, Davide Ghersini (Genoa) is saying goodbye, while Gianluca Aureliano (Bologna) is saying goodbye due to age limits. Alberto Santoro (Messina) and especially Daniele Orsato have resigned, for personal reasons: he could become the new designator of Lega Pro . The referees promoted to the Can include Claudio Giuseppe Allegretta (Molfetta section), Andrea Calzavara (Varese), Giuseppe Mucera (Palermo), Niccolò Turrini (Florence) and Andrea Zanotti (Rimini).

Sardinia in the Can is also represented by the assistants Kaled Bahri (Sassari section), Andrea Niedda (Ozieri). In Can C, for Lega Pro and Primavera Championship, the referee from Alghero Davide Galiffi and the assistant Valeria Spizuoco (Cagliari section) were promoted from Can D.

Referees Claudio Marongiu from Sassari, Marco Spiga from Carbonia and Riccardo Urru from Sassari, with assistants Andrea Nurra from Sassari, Michele Piras from Olbia and Leonardo Tuligi from Tortolì, are making the transition to Can D, which allows them to referee in Serie D and in the other groups (outside their own region) of Eccellenza.

In futsal, referees Alessandro Desogus (Carbonia), Andrea Dessì (Oristano), Andrea Frau (Carbonia) and Fabio Loni (Cagliari) were promoted to Can 5 Elite, while Maria Grazia Poddighe (Sassari) was promoted to Can 5 by the regional referee.
