Tourism in Sardinia, record numbers. In 2025, the island saw over 5 million arrivals, generating approximately 22 million overnight stays in accommodation facilities, with an average stay of 4.24 days. This represents a 15.9% increase over the previous year and a 34.2% increase over 2023.

The number of foreigners is increasing, the seasonality of the stay is lengthening, and there is explosive growth in short-term rentals. Ogliastra and Sulcis are the areas experiencing the greatest growth.

The data was presented today by the regional councilor for tourism, Franco Cuccureddu, who described it as "exciting numbers; no other Italian region has achieved these performances."
