A weekend in June, a relaxing break between July and early August and a holiday of at least 7 days in August. These are the programs of about 28 million Italians ready to leave , between June and September, for a total of 62.8 million travelers , including those who will go abroad and those who, for various reasons, will not stay in tourist accommodation facilities. .

This is what emerges from the Confcommercio Confturismo Observatory . There are, therefore, the conditions for a summer in line with that of 2019, if not even above, unless the spread of Omicron 5 dampens the enthusiasm.

Italians who go on vacation will spend almost 300 euros each for a weekend , 540 euros for a holiday between 3 and 6 days and 1,250 euros for the main holiday , that of 7 days or more, pouring into the national economy as a whole, with their purchases, about 47 billion euros all inclusive (transport, accommodation, catering, entertainment, shopping, etc.).

The spending budget appears to be the first element with which the interviewees come to terms , cited as the motivation for choosing the travel destination by 19.3% of the sample, followed by the richness of the attractions of the place and the quality of the landscape, respectively at 13 , 5% and 12.1%.
