It is the age of pioneers. The very first free radios in Italy. Radiolina, which today celebrated its 50th birthday, is part of this glorious chorus of voices that opened a path and broke the monopoly of Rai. Among the first in Italy, the first in Sardinia.

Nicola Grauso is the leader of the young people who start the programs with an old military transmitter. A great frenzy. A company with a share capital of 100 thousand lire. Radio that is born illegal, in violation of the rules that provide for a rigid monopoly.

The first rehearsals in an apartment in Quartu, then the move to a property in the Cagliari neighborhood of Castello, in vico Duomo, the highest point of the city. The first episode of a long story on June 19, 1975. Words and music. Entertainment, vivacity, lightness.

We go live with sports events: football and boxing. A home-made radio with great intelligence.

In 1999 a new phase began with the arrival of Sergio Zuncheddu who purchased the publishing group L'Unione Sarda.

Radiolina grows and strengthens in the radio panorama on the wave of technological innovations and changes in the world of communication, including radio. From vico Duomo to piazza L'Unione Sarda, passing by viale Marconi, the places of the history of the broadcaster, a voice that reaches everywhere. A history that goes hand in hand with that of Videolina which, on September 4th, will be the same age as Radiolina.
