32 million allocated against high energy costs : it is the most important of the approximately one hundred amendments presented by the Giunta to Omnibus 2.

The contribution will be used to replenish the budgets of Sardinian municipalities , heavily affected by energy price increases.

«We are facing an emergency that requires immediate intervention - explained the president Christian Solinas -. Thanks to the contribution in favor of the Municipalities, we are giving an immediate signal and taking action against the increases in energy costs which, as is happening in the rest of the country, risk questioning the essential services for the local communities".

Municipalities that thus " will be able to guarantee the continuity of services provided to Sardinian citizens with greater serenity ". The resources will be distributed with the criteria of the Single Fund and will be used by the municipalities to cover the higher costs of energy and gas bills.

It is a real race against time to approve the provision , the opposition attacks: «You asked us for responsibility – the words addressed by Francesco Agus to the Giunta – but then you don't show up in the Chamber, you bring about 70 amendments. Now you are responsible, there is no more time ».

"Not only did the provision arrive at the last possible day - reiterated Gianfranco Ganau, leader of the Pd group -, but the majority does not even guarantee the quorum. More than 300 million usable risks blowing up for a single responsibility, that of the majority . If we don't have time to approve the law by midnight, all financial resources will be lost, a huge loss for Sardinia and the sectors concerned».
