To celebrate its 10th anniversary, "Women's Stories... Women and History" offers a rich program of even more international and diverse content. Born from the artistic core of Mezcla Intercultura's desire to address current and often complex issues, finding the theater and art scene a powerful tool for discussion and transformation, the festival will open this year with two days of performances for younger audiences.

The first performance will be on June 9th in Sestu, at the Domus Claudia, with (at 5:30 pm) "Con curiosa si può far," a production by "Le compagnie del cocomero," featuring Selene Manca, and (at 6:30 pm) "Gato Negro," by Teatro Titeres, starring Gabriela Ines Cespedes. On June 10th, at 5:30 pm, the same venue will host the production of "Tina Pales," starring actress Emanuela Lai of Teatro Impossibile. Lai will encore at 6:00 pm with the show "Una storia al contrario," and at 6:30 pm, another Argentine production, starring Gabriela Ines Cespedes, titled "Niña Latido."

The festival's segment dedicated to a diverse audience begins on June 11th, featuring internationally renowned productions. At 6:00 pm, the Spazio Samsa in Sestu will host the presentation of Carla Cristofoli's book "Diagenesis," followed at 7:30 pm by the show "Il sogno, dipinto di Frida Kahlo," curated by the Tedacà Association of Turin, featuring actress Francesca Cassottana. This site-specific performance, for a limited audience, is designed as a close and authentic encounter with the great and revolutionary Mexican painter.

The show continues on June 12th in Cagliari, at Casa Saddi, where at 7 pm Teatro Dallarmadio will perform "Alfonsina Panciavuota," starring Fabio Marceddu and directed by Antonello Murgia. The performance tells the story of a woman determined to change her destiny in post-war Sardinia. Then, on the 13th, again at Casa Saddi, starting at 6:30 pm, La Fabbrica Illuminata presents "Io, Medea, vi maledico," based on Christa Wolf's Medea, written and starring Salima Balzerani. At 8 pm, Frida Kahlo returns, played once again by Francesca Cassottana in the monologue "Frida, un nastro intorno alla bomba."

The grand finale will be held on Sunday, June 14th at Casa Saddi with two extraordinary performances: "Lena. The Whore by Michelangelo Merisi, known as Caravaggio," a show by and starring Francesco Niccolini, at 6:30 pm, and "A Long Love Story," at 7:30 pm, starring Cristiana Cocco, Fabio Marceddu, Antonello Murgia, and Daniela Littarru. Directed by Antonello Murgia and Fabio Marceddu, the show replaces the original production ("All the Mothers of the World") with a new 2026 production by Teatro dellarmadio.
