"Where the bombs come from" unfolds between the great history , that is, the advent of fascism narrated with fury and sarcasm by Emilio Lussu, a sort of "prologue" to everything that will happen next, and the small (large) stories of those he experienced firsthand the tragedy of the bombs on Cagliari in 1943 , as someone who was still a child in those years, as someone who saw with his own eyes the entire city literally razed to the ground by B/17s, the "flying fortresses" Americans.
In the story the images flow, one after the other, of the city's historic shelters, from the Public Gardens to the Crypt of Santa Restituta, of the waters of the burning port, of the city that disappeared from one moment to the next : where a moment before there Once the houses were empty, the rubble and rubble remained on the ground, only a few pieces of wall still protruding from the ground.
