"Dear Union,

we bring the nascent European Bank for Climate and Sustainable Development to Cagliari. This financial / banking institution will be a European colossus of the EU money-economic market, like the ECB (European Central Bank) and the EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development). Currently, it is still under discussion which member country will host this bank, with Italy being the most accredited in being assigned the headquarters of this institution.

Today in our country there are European bodies, agencies and institutes in Rome, Milan, Turin and Parma while in the Mediterranean they are present in Malta, Crete and Cyprus. I wonder why the third island of the EU (precisely Sardinia) cannot host such a prestigious institution as the nascent bank we are talking about?

Other cities, primarily Trieste, are already moving, while we always let go of every opportunity, without competing and believing in the potential of our region and our capital.

Of course, it will not be the idea of a single citizen to move this inertia that we have been carrying with us for several years, but it should be the local, political and economic institutions that know how to seize these opportunities so that our island is brought to have a certain importance. in the European framework.

I hope that whoever is competent will take up this challenge ".
