The city and the sea. A landscape on which scholars and researchers, men of culture and administrators, school groups concentrate on the day of study and reflection, promoted for today in the cinema room of the autonomous maritime command in Piazza Marina d'Italia by the Superintendence.
The initiative comes from the Archaeological Superintendency (in collaboration with the Admiralty) who wanted to include it in the National Landscape Day.
The goal is to contribute to «promoting the culture of the landscape in all its forms and to make citizens aware of the issues related to it, through specific activities to be carried out throughout the territory through the competition and collaboration of the administrations and public institutions and private".
The intention: to give voice and welcome the points of view of the subjects who, for various reasons, come into contact with the themes connected to the coastal territory and the sea.
Accompanied by the teachers, a delegation of the "Giovanni Lilliu" didactic direction of via Garavetti (among the winners of the Unesco landscape award) will be present.
Also in the Admiralty headquarters will be set up an exhibition of recovered materials recovered during underwater archeology operations in the waters of the port of Cagliari but also in the seabed of southern Sardinia and the Oristano area. The works of the educational workshops which involved some classes of the Satta nursery school in Cagliari and the Capoterra club will also be exhibited.
In the afternoon, from 3 pm, a guided tour of the Luna Rossa base is scheduled.
