Filming continues in Cagliari for Giovanni Coda 's new film, "The bride in the wind" , an author's look at femicide and violence against women amid news reports, re-enactments and a tribute to famous artists of the past.

In the cast stand out the names of Serra Yilmaz, beloved interpreter of the films of Ferzan Ozpetek, and of the Roman actor Lorenzo Balducci, narrating voices mostly off-screen.

"There is more need than ever for films that deal with the drama of femicides, because they have not decreased at all, on the contrary, they are more numerous than they once were", explains Serra Yilmaz . Actress of theater and cinema , always involved in the field of civil rights, ideally addresses parents overturning cultural stereotypes: "Do not tell your daughter to dress in a less provocative way, rather tell him to behave well, as a gentleman, to have a equal relationship, because when there is no consensus there is violence ", he explains.

THE FILM - "The bride in the wind" is a work in eight episodes for a story with several voices, lucid and ferocious, visionary and poetic, in the style of Coda. A story that starts from Orgosolo , in Barbagia, to remember the story of Antonia Mesina , the young woman killed because she opposed an attempt of sexual violence and was beatified in 1987 by John Paul II.

Produced by Movie Factory Roma, the film is the latest chapter in the film trilogy signed by the Cagliari director on gender violence and comes after the award-winning "Il Rosa Nudo", on the Nazi persecution against homosexuals, and "Bullied To Death", on homophobic cyberbullying.

The theatrical release is scheduled for next November .
