The title of the album, "Sighida" means continuation, continuity. And it is precisely the sense of the meeting between two generations of music in Sardinia: on one side a veteran like the instrumentalist, composer and researcher from Cagliari Mauro Palmas and the nineteen-year-old accordionist from Orosei Giacomo Vardeu. Fresh from four concerts in Switzerland and Germany, the new duo resumes the tour of presentations in Sardinia: Sunday in Sassari in the spaces of the Vecchio Mulino, in via Frigaglia, starting at 18:30; Saturday 12, again in Monserrato, starting at 20.

The result of the meeting between the veteran Palmas and the emerging Vardeu is an exciting and engaging musical dialogue, which starting from the past looks to the future through a repertoire that ranges from the revisitation of the Sardinian tradition to European and Mediterranean sounds. The album, composed of ten songs, also sees the participation of Cuncordu e Tenore de Orosei, excellence of the island's choral singing , in two intense tracks: "Nanneddu meu" and "Libera me, Domine".

The album "Sighida" inaugurated the Mare e Miniere label, dedicated to productions born within the framework of the popular singing, music and dance seminars organized in Portoscuso , in Southern Sardinia, by the Elenaledda Vox association.
