In the Badu Canu forest, on the outskirts of Osilo , from 12 to 15 September the first edition of Selva will debut, not just a simple festival but an original cultural, artistic and pedagogical project that aims to involve children and adults in environmental protection and regeneration.

Organized by APS Iconica Selvatica in collaboration with Ocra Badu Canu, with the artistic direction of Anna Maria Destefanis, the support of the Fondazione di Sardegna and the patronage of the Municipality of Osilo, Selva harmoniously combines different forms of art and outdoor activities: cinema, photography, performances, workshops, and educational walks.

THE PROGRAM – The festival opens on Thursday 12 September at 4:30 pm in the park on Via Zirulia in Osilo with a preview for children: the free planting workshop Selva Kids by Iconica Selvatica in collaboration with Spazioperaria and Anna Satta (Organic agriculture technician and horticultural therapist). From Friday 13 September Selva continues in the spaces of Ocra, a new open-air cultural practice centre. The first appointment is with the Collettivo Artistico Prendashanseaux and the dance, meditation and proxemics in nature workshop for adults Iscurta (4 – 7 pm). At 7 pm the audiovisual installation “I stand” will be inaugurated, Ideation, Concept and performer Anna Destefanis, Photography and Video by Fabio Sau, audio by Alessandro Destefanis, which documents a performative action carried out in the areas at highest risk of desertification in Northern Sardinia. This will be followed by an aperitif and the screening of the film “Amanda” by Cristiano Bendinelli, awarded at important festivals in the sector and filmed on an island in Chilean Patagonia, threatened by the wild exploitation of resources by multinational salmon fishing companies. Saturday 14 September opens with the Shinrin-yoku workshop by forest guide Daniela Manchia (10:30). At 11 Selva Kids returns and at 15:30 Food Forest - a forest to eat begins, a workshop on the design of agroforestry systems with fruit trees, medicinal and aromatic herbs, by agronomist Mirko Piras, environmental educator Alessandra Zinchiri and Thomas Rodgers (organic farmer and president of Iconica Selvatica). Closing with an aperitif (7pm) and the screening of the feature film The Man of Trees (8pm) by Sassari director Tore Manca (best work in the “Best Narrative” category at the London Eco Film Festival), freely inspired by the story “The Man Who Planted Trees” by Jean Giono and shot entirely in Sardinia.

The first edition of Selva ends on Sunday 15 September with Microcosmi , a walk led by Mirko Piras and open to adults and children to learn about insects, and the happiness laboratory by Valeria Muledda Sciame che ride. Comunità come superorganizzato.
