" Schierarsi ", the non-profit cultural association born on a national level at the instigation of Alessandro Di Battista, also arrives in Cagliari. The association aims to involve groups of citizens in the construction of proposals and projects for the community.

«The name of the association was not chosen at random – the activists explain -, we live in a historical period of great conformism and the time has come to take clear positions on national and global issues. Words such as sustainability, peace, self-determination of peoples and the fight against organized crime represent the heart of the actions in which the Schierarsi Association is engaged. We want to take a bold stand on national and local issues. Today's society is completely different from what we imagined a few years ago. First the pandemic and now the war (with all their consequences) have overwhelmed hundreds of millions of citizens all over the world, increasing social imbalances and environmental damage".

The association created by Di Battista aims to explore themes and develop proposals , with the aim of providing answers to some of the needs of the present. «The "Piazza di Cagliari", just born, will be present in the area and will do everything possible to provide more information and bring many citizens to give their contribution on national but, above all, local issues - the supporters of Schierarsi report - young, environment, economy, justice, work, rights are just some of the themes that we will develop, but we will also address issues related to the self-determination of peoples strongly felt in our Sardinian land . These are the places where we will be present to promote the referendum campaign for peace and public health. The first commitment concerns peace and public health, issues that deeply affect the well-being of our society and the future of generations to come. We have taken a clear position on these two fundamental issues, on which politics, trade unions and large organizations often seem to float without a definite commitment. We believe it is essential to do our part to promote a more peaceful world and an accessible and quality health system for all, for this reason we support the referendum campaign promoted on the issues in question".
