To share the culture, beauty and authentic traditions of one of the most fascinating regions of Italy, and to introduce the wonders of Sardinia to the Bel Paese, Visit Italy has created the initiative “Sardegna in Viaggio”. The campaign was born from the idea of bringing the ancient Sardinian customs and traditions to the heart of the most important Italian cities, to tell a journey that starts from the North of Sardinia and crosses the peninsula, passing through Naples, Rome and Milan . The aim is to capture the wonder of people in front of the charm of Sardinian culture in unexpected places. The exciting itinerary will culminate with the projection of these images in Times Square, the iconic square of New York .

"The project aims to involve the inhabitants of the cities crossed in a unique and immersive experience in Sardinian culture", explains Ruben Santopietro, CEO and founder of Visit Italy. "All thanks to videos made with the help of more than 150 people involved in the filming, who have revived the charm of tradition in unusual places of life. The final stop in New York is aimed at discovering the natural beauty and traditions of Sardinia, with a special focus on the American public , which in recent years has shown a growing interest in the region".

A project that sees the validation of the commitment of Visit Italy, which in the last four years has worked closely with the Chamber of Commerce of Sassari for the promotion of the Salude & Trigu event, a program created to deseasonalize tourist flows and attract visitors in the low season.

The new video campaign kicks off on November 13th from the Nuraghe di Torralba . Here, a parade of characters in traditional costumes will celebrate the importance of collective participation in preserving local traditions. Showing the deep connection with the land, while the sounds and rhythms of the dances envelop the environment, creating a timeless atmosphere. On November 15th it will be Naples' turn, the Sardinian parade blends with the lively rhythm of the Neapolitan city . The scent of the sea and the liveliness of the streets will frame a moment of encounter between two Mediterranean cultures. The spontaneity of the Neapolitans will intertwine with the pride of the Sardinians, creating a unique and unrepeatable combination. On November 18th it's the turn of the heart of the capital, Rome . The parade will pass through the symbolic streets of the eternal city, and the beauty of Rome will be the backdrop to the colors and tradition of Sardinian costumes.

The journey ends on November 20th in Milan, the Italian capital of fashion and design . Here, the Sardinian fashion show turns into an iconic event, where tradition meets innovation and elegance. Traditional costumes enchant even the most stylish city in the world, creating a visual narrative in which the past merges with the future. And after crossing Italy, on November 22nd the grand finale in New York, where Sardinia will enchant Times Square, the world stage par excellence. The final reel will be projected on giant screens, bringing Sardinia and its traditions to the most famous square in the world . A unique moment, in which Sardinian culture is celebrated internationally.

This form of tourism allows you to experience Sardinia in an authentic way, coming into direct contact with the local community and contributing to the economy of the area. The initiative fits into this positive context, aiming not only to increase the number of visitors in a conscious way, enhancing little-known territories that offer authentic and unforgettable experiences.
