A news bounced on all national newspapers from the early hours of this morning, but which has been denied: Rosa Russo Iervolino , 86, for over twenty years in parliament and first woman at the Viminale, is not dead as many have said , but she is " serene and healthy ".

The denial came from the family members of the former mayor of Naples, who in a statement issued to Ansa speak of "absolutely unfounded" news .
