The Sardinian Middle Ages shine again with the free and extraordinary openings of the "Romanesque Days" calendar, presented at the Palazzo Vice Regio.

The event will take place from October 4 to 26, 2025 , with special openings of Romanesque-era religious buildings and accompanying cultural initiatives. The event is organized by the Fondazione Sardegna Isola del Romanico with the support of the Sardinia Region, the Fondazione di Sardegna, dioceses, parishes, associations, municipalities, Pro Loco, and the Association of Local Authorities for Local Authorities for Cultural and Entertainment Activities.

The event is part of the national calendar of Romanesque Italy; in fact, numerous churches in Lombardy and Piedmont, coordinated by the Sardinian Foundation, will also open their doors to visitors.

The event was presented in Cagliari by Antonello Figus, president of the Sardinia Romanesque Island Foundation, in the presence of its director Laura Paci, Rossana Podda, consultant to the regional department of Tourism, Crafts and Commerce, Alessio Piras, representative of the regional department of Culture, Francesco Lilliu, deputy metropolitan mayor, and Paola Casula, regional councilor and mayor of Guasila.

From October 4th to 26th, 70 municipalities will have joined the initiative of the Sardinia Island of Romanesque Foundation, and 75 churches in these areas will open their doors to visitors.
