The sailing ship Klizia is ready to set sail with the crew of the Egea Ecomuseum of Fertilia. An 800-mile journey to the coast of Istria to bring a message of brotherhood. The flag of Nox Oceani, partner of the project, will fly over Klizia, which has inclusion, sport and environmental sustainability in its mission.
The trip/event will start on July 30th and end on October 8th in Trieste on the occasion of the Barcolana, after having visited 27 cities and crossed 10 regions in 4 different countries. Francesca de Natale Sifola Galiani, founder of Nox Oceani, recently delivered to the director of the Aegean Ecomuseum of Fertilia Mauro Manca, the flag that will be hoisted on board. The idea is to unite with an imaginary thread what history has sadly divided. The project is in fact called "Return to the land of the fathers" and retraces the journey that the exiles were forced to make when Italy ceded the territories to Yugoslavia.
Among the places where the exiles took refuge is the village of Fertilia, officially born in 1936, which was populated in a consistent manner after the Second World War. And the Egea Ecomuseum was born in Fertilia, promoter of the project "Return to the land of the fathers" which with Klizia, which belonged to a Julian fisherman, will retrace the route of the exiles who fled their lands in search of a new life.
