The fifth edition of "Fotografando Cagliari," the competition for amateur and professional photography included in the broader "Three Minutes of Fame in Cagliari" award project, has concluded in Cagliari.

The awards ceremony, held at the Thotel, marked the final act of an initiative that, once again this year, confirmed the vitality of the photography scene linked to the visual storytelling of the Sardinian capital.

Nicola Belillo's photography won over the jury , awarded for its ability to convey an intense and personal image of the city.

The podium was rounded out with two tied winners: Attilio Pala and Roberto Tronci took second place, while Nicolò Atzori and Enrico Usai shared third place. This verdict demonstrates the widespread quality of the entries and the difficulty of the final selection process.

The competition, supported by the Sardinia Region and the Municipality of Cagliari, reaffirmed its role as a privileged observatory on the city's many urban souls, offering a forum for discussion open to participants of all ages and backgrounds.

Also taking part in the evening on the multiplex stage, alongside patron Maurizio Porcelli, was Mario Giua Marassi, an award-winning director and artistic director of the festival, now known to the general public for his work on the Sardinian regional television commercial for New Year's Eve.

The composition of the jury, which brought together key figures of the island's and national visual culture, was also highly prestigious .

Among them are Franco Felce, one of Sardinia's most respected professional photographers; Domenico Manca, a longtime photographer of the region and tireless custodian of a vast iconographic archive; and Giuseppe Ungari, actor and former photographer for L'Unione Sarda, winner of the first edition of the competition.

They were joined by Riccardo Frezza, a well-known journalist in the gossip and gossip columns, confirming a deliberately heterogeneous perspective in the evaluation of the works.

The richness and variety of perspectives presented prompted the jury to award numerous special mentions, recognizing the value of other authors who have interpreted Cagliari with sensitivity and originality: Francesco Nonnoi, Maria Giulia Piras, Dilan Losue Viteri Hidrovo, Giancarlo Esposito, Stefano Capecci, Cinzia Atzeni, Gianluca Patrik Meloni, Alessandro Mattei, Valerio Mereu, and Daniela Deidda.
