According to the weekly bulletin released by the Competition and Market Authority, Cin "has advertised, in the period between November and December 2020, the opening of bookings for ferry services to Sardinia and Sicily for the season summer 2021, proposing the gift of an insurance policy to cover the cancellation of the ticket for tickets purchased by 31 December 2020 ".

The advertisement, it is emphasized, "valid for both the outward and return tickets, boasts of including as a guarantee 'the inability to undertake the journey following a Covid 19 infection of the passenger or his family members'. - underlines instead the Agcm - it would seem instead to be excluded from the same conditions of the policy, which foresee in article 15 'that all coverages are not due for claims deriving from epidemics or pandemics, it being understood that said exclusion will not operate in relation to all the facts directly connected to the virus currently in circulation called Covid 19 'and to the next paragraph of the same article that' the benefits are not due for claims caused by quarantines'.
