The central cinema in Piazza Roma in Carbonia will host the preview of the film "Men in March" on Thursday 2 May at 6pm , in the presence of the director Peter Marcias and some protagonists.

The documentary tells the story of the March for Development which, in 1992, saw unions, unemployed men and women march from Sulcis to Iglesias and then to Rome, to ask for a new development plan for the territory. The screening is promoted by the Humanitarian Society with the patronage of the Municipality of Carbonia and in collaboration with the Amici della Miniera association and the Local History Section.

In 2018 Cantet was president of the Jury of the International Feature Film Competition of the Carbonia Film Festival. For the regional director of the Umanitaria Paolo Serra: «The film represents a piece of a long journey of restitution of the social memory of a territory, which has the duty to continue to promote the experience of its roots and its peculiarities».
