The solo exhibition “Fulmini e Saette” by Cagliari-born artist Andrea Ferrero Sette, curated by Antonia Giulia Maxia, arrives in Quartu Sant'Elena, at the Michelangelo Pira Space on Via Brigata Sassari.

Ferrero is a generous painter, capable of transforming a single detail into a vast series of studies and compositions. Guided by a clear idea and a well-defined project, his work begins with geometry and evolves into flows of intense shapes and colors, capable of capturing the eye and describing the creative process with strength and originality.

The new Diagonali series is the result of research initiated during the exhibition held at the MEM in Cagliari last summer. From a black-and-white composition titled Il velo di Maya (The Veil of Maya), a diagonal black gash emerges, dividing the nuanced grays of the broad, triangular fields of the surface. The dramatic line resembles a crack, with its irregularity and tension; in other works, however, the line lightens and softens its roughness. The bottom-up direction indicates the positivity of the line, which, in the various sequences, gains positioning and chromatic expression—Andrea's true passion.

The painter constantly thinks of a varied palette, in which the mark plays a central role: threads, brushstrokes, and fingerprints interact within the composition. Thus, the work unfolds between design and chance, to be observed and reflected upon through unexpected intellectual modalities.

The opening is scheduled for today at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be moderated by Marcella Serreli. The exhibition will remain open until February 28th.
