A file on the register of non-constituent acts of crime was opened a month and a half ago by the Public Prosecutor of Cagliari on the house purchased near the Poetto by the President of the Region Christian Solinas. The affair was reported in recent days by Fatto Quotidiano, and yesterday the governor replied, with a long post on Facebook, ensuring the "full transparency and legitimacy" of all its operations.
The story
The so-called “model 45” is linked to various complaints, the content of which is now being examined by the deputy prosecutor Maria Virginia Boi, to whom the acting prosecutor Paolo De Angelis has assigned the investigation. It is therefore an exploratory dossier with no hypothesis of crime and without suspects, linked to the recent purchase by the governor of a villa worth about one million euros, with a mortgage. The investigation activity linked to the criminal investigation has been delegated by the prosecutor to the investigators of the financial police and the judicial police section of the Public Prosecutor's Office, who will have to acquire the documents related to the sale.
On the purchase of that villa in Cagliari, a series of complaints, some of which anonymous, have reached the judicial authority, which have all been merged into a single file. Solinas' former opponent for the presidency of the Region in 2019, Massimo Zedda, yesterday on his Facebook profile urged the governor to clarify the matter.
The replica
In the evening, Solinas' reply: "I am at your complete disposal to clarify every aspect of my activities, which while respecting my personal private sphere have always been characterized by legitimacy and transparency", writes the governor, specifying that he has learned of the investigation " by the mass media "and wondering" how elements pertaining to a confidential file can be in the hands of several people and used to build a media case based on partial and instrumental reconstructions, on suggestive allusions and combinations, on serious omissions ". Solinas recalls that everything starts from "a set of anonymous expositions, inexplicably known to some newspapers and bloggers", engaged in "a frontal political attack on me".
Regarding the matter, the president states that "at 45, after 25 in business, I bought a house built about half a century ago", put up for sale by a real estate agency. First the preliminary contract and "then the final public deed, in front of the notary, always in the light of the sun, giving a down payment with my savings and taking out a 30-year mortgage", guaranteed by a mortgage. On the other hand, there is no relationship with the neighboring lot, on which a private individual is building another property: therefore any hypothesis that connects the building to Solinas himself is "sensationally false".
In Capoterra
The president also says that he has put up for sale "my properties in the countryside of Capoterra, purchased in 2002 and in which I invested commitment and savings", to pay for the new house, "as I believe most ordinary people do". But he clarifies "that he met the director of the promissory acquiring company only on the occasion of the signing of the preliminary agreement before the notary". There has not yet been the final act because the buyer has asked for a postponement of 3 months. On the other hand, the sale of three building hectares and one of an agricultural area has vanished, because the buyer died after the preliminary agreement, then "resolved by consensus with the heirs, to whom I returned the deposit in full".
Therefore "the circumstances and the very serious allusions reported in the Fatto Quotidiano are deprived of any foundation", insists Solinas, who promises to continue working "assuming as always the burden of decisions that may well cost me other anonymous complaints", but adopted, he concludes , only in the public interest ".
