The Liberevento Festival returns for its fourteenth edition , bringing a breath of culture, humor, and useful content for everyday life. On Sunday, August 3rd, at 10:00 PM in Calasetta (Torre Sabauda) and Monday, August 4th, at 9:30 PM in Gonnesa (S'Olivariu), the event will feature Daniele Paci, agronomist, science communicator, and author of the book La Spesa Felice (Happy Shopping).
Known on social media for his humorous and informative videos in which he debunks food myths and guides audiences toward healthier and more sustainable choices, Daniele brings a simple and powerful message to the stage: shopping wisely can make us live longer, healthier, and even happier.
In his book, Paci takes readers through the supermarket shelves with a scientific yet accessible lens .
How do you choose a good oil? How do you recognize real whole-wheat bread? What's behind the "no added sugar" label? The journey she suggests isn't one of sacrifice, but of awareness and pleasure. Every purchase can become an act of self-care, of the people we love, and of the land we live in.
And this will be the heart of the two evenings in Sardinia : transforming everyday shopping into a cultural, ethical, and even poetic gesture. Paci will discuss seasonality, short supply chains, local products, and the strategies of the food industry. But he will do so with a lighthearted approach, engaging the audience and stimulating questions, doubts, and reflections.
Daniele Paci's approach is innovative because it intertwines science, nutrition, economics, and relationships. Happy Shopping is also a book about longevity, about how food choices concretely influence quality of life, both short- and long-term. It's not just about calories and nutrients, but about rediscovering an authentic relationship with food and those who produce it.
Those attending the events in Calasetta and Gonnesa will receive practical advice as well as plenty of inspiration to rethink their shopping, cooking, and personal care practices.
It will be an opportunity to discover how revolutionary the most banal gesture we make every week can be: filling a shopping cart .
The event is free to attend, but reservations are recommended through the Festival's official website: www.liberevento.it .
