Sardinia, as told by filmmakers using documentary filmmaking tools. This is the idea behind the development of the on-demand documentary web platform "Inùefilm." The project is led by the cultural association 4Caniperstrada in collaboration with Spazio Bunker , with the support of the Fondazione di Sardegna and the European Union as part of the Next Generation EU – PNRR Digital Transition for Cultural and Creative Organizations project. The platform was created with the technical support of web master Giorgia Nicoli , legal advice from Andrea Cocco , and graphic design by Daniele Cau.
Inùefilm aims to be a meeting place for works and audiences, responding to two complementary needs: that of a digital audience, interested in learning about current and lesser-known aspects of the island through the effectiveness and power of film images, and that of filmmakers eager to share their work through a dedicated web space.
The “Inùefilm” catalogue is in fact still being expanded and open to all authors and Directors, not only Sardinian but also from other countries, can submit their documentaries for inclusion on the platform, following the instructions on the website.
With the "Inùefilm" platform, technically a TVOD where viewers can rent individual films or subscribe to the entire catalog, filmmakers are invited to contribute to the creation of an archive that chronicles Sardinia's present, in all its social, cultural, and economic facets, and attempts to imagine its future. The platform, explain the organizers, "is aimed at current viewers, offering them an on-demand catalog, but it also considers future generations, with the goal of becoming a reference point for the preservation and dissemination of the island's contemporary audiovisual heritage, with a particular focus on emerging directors and new creative languages."
