The golden moment of Sardinian cinema continues, after Fabio Manuel Mulas' recent victories at various international festivals with his film Bandidos and Balentes.

Now comes the turn of the affirmed Sassari director Alfredo Moreno, 46, also already winner of numerous awards, in the genre he has most preferred so far and of which he is a master: the horror-thriller.

His "Intruder", the next short film to be shot in Scotland, was awarded for the best screenplay at the important Santa Barbara festival in California.

Among the jurors, film industry professionals with credits in major studios including Universal, Warner Bros, Fox and Sony.

On January 22, the organization and one of these big houses, in addition to the award, will write off the check for the making of the film.

"The jury invited me to the final ceremony.- comments a radiant Alfredo Moreno - I will fly to California obviously proud and happy with the award, which will also give me further certainty in the making of the film, which I will shoot in magical environments that only Scotland can offer. I therefore hope that the Pandemic will loosen its grip, in order to start the first click. I can already anticipate - he concludes - the names of the protagonists, all Sardinian professionals: Maurizio Pulina, Alessandro Pala and the young Freja Crobe from Olbia ".

Intruder is about "a healthy bringer of madness", but he will be discovered in an exciting ending, full of tension and suspense.
