A red and blue touch appears in the new Netflix film "Ogni Maledetto Fantacalcio" (Every Damned Fantasy Football): striker Leonardo Pavoletti appears among the cast.
The Livorno striker makes a surprise appearance in a scene alongside Francesco Russo and Valeria Angione in the 90-minute comedy film (including stoppage time) directed by Alessio Maria Federici and produced by QMI.
“I touched Pavoletti!” exclaims Nicola (played by Francesco Russo) after an unlikely selfie with the footballer.
Dedicated to all fantasy football managers, the film stars Giacomo Ferrara, Silvia D'Amico, Francesco Russo, Enrico Borello, Antonio Bannò, and Caterina Guzzanti, with the participation of other football stars such as Diletta Leotta, Pierluigi Pardo, Giuseppe Pastore, Daniele Orsato, and Riccardo Gentile.
The plot of the film
How far will you go to win at Fantasy Football? This is the unusual question a sharply sarcastic judge (Caterina Guzzanti) must ask herself as she interrogates Simone (Giacomo Ferrara), a carefree thirty-year-old, a freelance screenwriter rather than a professional, and a suspect in the mysterious disappearance of Gianni (Enrico Borello). Gianni isn't just his best friend; he's also the reigning champion of the "Mai una gioia" Fantasy Football League, where a group of friends as old as they are bizarre have been gathering for years.
On his wedding day—and the final, decisive matchday of the championship—Gianni, however, fails to show up at the altar and, even stranger, fails to name his team. The surreal investigation involves the entire crazy gang, including Andrea (Silvia D'Amico), the newest arrival, who may be hiding more than one secret. The group chat unleashes a frenzy: insults, accusations, compromising screenshots... and a suspicious number of death threats.
Is it possible that someone actually hurt Gianni? Because sometimes, Fantasy Football isn't just a game. It's about life, bonuses... and revenge.
The cast of the film, written by Giulio Carrieri and Michele Bertini Malgarini, which sees the collaboration of Fantacalcio (a Quadronica brand), also includes Francesco Giordano, Giacomo Bottoni and Francesca Agostini.
