Written by Michele Badas , Michele De Murtas and Nicolò Falchi , directed by Badas and De Murtas themselves, it is a multi-voiced story that traces the story of the Cagliari-Piacenza match in 1997, when almost twenty thousand fans of the rossoblù team embarked Naples to support one of the symbols of their identity. The title is inspired by the writing on the shirts that were printed for that match, but also refers to the sense of community that still leads witnesses of that adventure to say "that time I was there too".
Produced by “ Il Circolo della Confusion ”, in co-production with ISRE – Sardinian Ethnographic Institute, and in collaboration with Mompracem, the contribution of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia and the support of the Sardinia Film Commission Foundation , Deu ci seu tells of the journey considered necessary to support the team, which needed victory to avoid relegation to Serie B. The film also takes us back to the times when traveling was more difficult than today for Sardinians, and territorial continuity was considered a mirage.
In the feature film archive images and testimonies of those who were there at the time stand out: from the president of the Region, Federico Palomba , to the former player Roberto Muzzi , from the musician Michele “Dr. Drer” Atzori , passing through the greengrocer Billo Vistosu , up to the worker from Seui Marco Moi , commissioned by the supporters of his country to bring a banner prepared for the occasion to Naples.
«The idea behind the film - explain the authors - was to make a historical documentary with a narrative structure centered on the theme of travel and which, at the same time, is inspired by that of classic adventure films. it has made it possible to deal with a series of issues related to the social and cultural specificities of Sardinia in the framework of a popular story accessible to everyone, even to those who are not passionate about football".
